Hymen or vaginal Crown

On occasion we have spoken of the hymen, especially when we discussed the loss of virginity or genital surgery specifically when discussing the himenoplastia or reconstruction of the hymen. The case is that Swedish Association for sexual education (RFSU) has now launched a proposal to change the man to the hymen vaginal Crown.

Actually the idea arises because in Swedish mödomshinna Word is used to refer to the hymen, which literally translates as "membrane virginity".Obviously this term if it has connotations erroneas and therefore makes more sense to be changed.

In Spanish, the word hymen comes from the Latin insects, and this Greek ?µ??, which means membrane and therefore has no link whatsoever with virginity.According to the dictionary of the SAR, it is membranous retreat which reduces external vaginal hole while maintaining integrity.Again no mention of virginity, so little interest there is in rename the hymen.

However, the published pamphlet contains much more information about the hymen which we considered interesting to translate and we hope to be useful to dispel doubts and myths associated with virginity and hymen, now also called vaginal Crown.

The hymen or vaginal Crown is one or two centimeters of the entrance to the vagina.So glibly, as you can see in the image above, the hymen every woman is different: different size, color and shape.Basically consists of more or less folded layers of mucous, tissue color pink, almost transparent.Although it may be more thick and pale or whitish, in the vast majority of cases is elastic.

It is rare, but may be the case that a woman should be completely closed hymen in such case will need to make a visit to the gynecologist to perform a small opening that allows menstrual fluid exit procedure, in order to use tampons and for sexual intercourse.
